Returning to Royal Order in a Chaotic World
We met on a dating app while we were both students at the University of Kentucky. And let’s be real—it wasn’t the kind of app where people go to find covenant. It was designed for hookups, not holy unions. At that point, we both had some biblical foundation, but we weren’t walking it out loud yet. We were still in that phase where we knew God—but we were lowkey doing our own thing.
But God didn’t wait until we had it all together. He met us right there—in the middle of the scroll, the confusion, and the curiosity.
💍 From the Jump, It Was Different
Our first date? Yeah… it was kind of wild. We weren’t talking about surface stuff. We were deep in conversations about marriage, legacy, how we wanted to raise kids, how we viewed money, emotions, faith—you name it.
It honestly sounded chaotic, like a 3-hour life planning session. But it clicked. It wasn’t scary—it was solid. It felt like we were already on the same page without even trying.
My husband still says, “It felt like our relationship was curated for purpose.” And I felt that too. Like it was assigned, not just a vibe.
🛡 Growth Mode Activated
In the beginning, we loved each other, but we still had growing to do. Especially when it came to selflessness. My husband was used to putting his energy into football, gaming, and doing life solo. But when God started tugging on his heart, something shifted.
He started realizing:
It can’t just be about me anymore
It wasn’t about “how much more can I grind” or “how much more can I win.”
It became, “How can I pour into my wife? How can I build a house that lasts?”
Devotionals replaced video games. Covering me became more important than convenience. He stepped into headship—not with pride, but with purpose.
💎 Tend and Twirl™ Was Born in the Quiet Places
This brand didn’t come from a vision board. It came from those quiet little “yeses” we made in the early days. Choosing love when it was hard. Choosing growth when it was uncomfortable. Choosing God when we didn’t always understand.
We built it to teach other couples how to reign—with order, with mission, and with real-deal legacy.
